I'm moving from 13Mbps DSL to 150Mbps cable so I was very excited. However

I recently switched providers and bought this modem to save on Comcast monthly rent. I'm moving from 13Mbps DSL to 150Mbps cable so I was very excited. However, the installer said he couldn't register the modem because it was either too new or defective. He said to return it and he would install a Comcast modem to get me working. Of course I agreed so that I could activate my service. Unfortunately, I immediately started having problems. The speed with the Comcast modem was great, but it kept dropping Wi-Fi and I even disconnected from the LAN. I felt frustrated when I decided to see if I could try installing the ASUS CM-16 DOCSIS modem myself. I followed the simple instructions and was able to do it on the FIRST try! Never call Comcast! I've connected it to an ASUS RT-ACRH13 Dual Band 2x2 AC1300 Wi-Fi router with 4 Wi-Fi ports and it hasn't dropped yet and I'm getting excellent speed test results. So far I'm very happy with this ASUS modem router combo. The ASUS CM-16 DOCSIS modem is listed as an approved device on the Comcast website.
