I have mixed feelings about this product. I chose the extra price for two reasons: firstly, because I respect the oxo brand for the high quality of the materials used and the high quality in general, and also because I finally decided what I think is better to buy the average pancake flipper. I was not disappointed in this regard. Second, because I wanted the pancake spatula to be above average and have excellent functionality. I was disappointed in that regard. The edge of the spatula doesn't seem to be flat enough for the first flip of the pancake after the batter is poured into the pan. No matter how long you bake the batter, when it's time to flip the pancake, the edge of the spatula will "bump" the edge of the pancake and it will be difficult for it to slide under the pancake. The result is usually a rolled up and crumpled mess that doesn't look like a flat pancake. If I could return it I would.
