Works good but runs HOT
I bought this to work with my M1 MacBook so I can use a second external display. It works great for that, but gets hot enough for that matter. This pushes a 24-inch Dell panel at 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz. I brought it back for Pluggable's Thunderbolt Dock, which has USB-C PD and DisplayLink and runs much cooler (on the outside, at least). To be clear I have used StarTech products before and have never had an issue and the heat they generate may not be an issue but for a long term solution I just don't like it.
