It's worth it if you don't mind a little grinding.
They are not entirely smooth, they constantly get caught on the yarn. I got a washable nail file and now it works great. For the money and a few minutes of sanding to get them smooth I think they're worth it. They are very light and easy to use. I would recommend them.
