They are not entirely smooth, they constantly get caught on the yarn. I got a washable nail file and now it works great. For the money and a few minutes of sanding to get them smooth I think they're worth it. They are very light and easy to use. I would recommend them.

I just started crocheting and didn't want to buy an expensive crochet kit. They are really very good and I like the variety of sizes. My only complaint is that I had to grind down some of the hooks, some of them weren't as smooth as they should have been so I got a little hooked at first. After I sanded them down, they were so smooth I didn't have any more problems.

I have been knitting for many years and recently decided to take up Tunisian knitting. I recently received these hooks and so far they have been amazing. They are very light and fit my hand well. They are also very smooth and I had no trouble attaching the hook to the yarn. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these hooks to anyone.

I liked them so much I bought a set for someone else. They're strong, light, and comfortable to hold, and you can't find a price for the whole set. I took off a star because some of them had tiny rough edges that were easily fixed in seconds with an emery board. I also wish they were 2-3 inches longer for larger items. But overall I'm very happy with these.

Excellent set of Tunisian hooks. I'm learning Tunisian and I need a graded set of hooks IMO to really master this skill. You might think you need a specific size, but actually you need a few larger sizes than you might think, at least that's my experience. A ready kit helps me focus on my skills instead of trying to find more hooks. I took a marker and wrote down the letter sizes on the ends as I'm new to millimeters and that helps a lot.
