Getting people to pay three to four times what a fully functional general purpose filter would cost is just horrible business practice. And unless you install a genuine GE filter with a new unique RFID chip, the fridge will hold your water hostage. That's right, NO WATER AND ICE FOR YOU until you pay their insane price for their special little microchip filter. I definitely don't want my appliance to decide when to turn off the water. I'm a big boy and I think I can figure it out on my own. Yes, I know there are a few hacks out there on the web to bypass or circumvent this nasty "feature", but none of them can actually reset your filter usage monitor unless you lean forward, open your wallet, and give more than your hard earned money from . on their special RFID chip filter. GG, you suck. I will never buy GE again. YOU SUCK!
