Does what it's supposed to do. This device allows your iOS device to act as a USB host, which allows it to control other supported USB devices. I use it mostly for MIDI controllers and sometimes for wired keyboards (for typing). This model allows you to place devices and charge them at the same time (the previous connector did not allow this). I connected a USB to a port and the charging port is reconnected to the charging port on the same hub. Please note that once you plug in your device (and possibly a hub), the cables can quickly make holding your device uncomfortable. You want to use your device on a table or stand.
