Perfect for Blue Yeti Mic, Twitch and more.

Great product! Bought it for my Blue Yeti microphone. Works great on iPhone X (OS 12.3). I've used it for podcasts and mobile Twitch streaming.

    Works with USB headphones!

For those who want to connect USB headphones to their iPhone or iPad, this will work. The only reason I bought it was that it was a big risk as it is not listed anywhere. Gamble ended up winning, works great.

Great way to use Dragonfly DAC

My only goal is to connect a Dragonfly DAC/headphone amp to my phone and this device does the job perfectly. I can even charge my phone while listening to music. This special box is more expensive than another adapter that only has a USB port (no charging function). However, it doesn't generate the pops and clicks reported by other users with a cheaper model, and the ability to charge at the same time justifies the extra cost. I would recommend this device.

Does what it should. This device .

Does what it's supposed to do. This device allows your iOS device to act as a USB host, which allows it to control other supported USB devices. I use it mostly for MIDI controllers and sometimes for wired keyboards (for typing). This model allows you to place devices and charge them at the same time (the previous connector did not allow this). I connected a USB to a port and the charging port is reconnected to the charging port on the same hub. Please note that once you plug in your device (and

A must for every iOS musician!

If you're a musician, trust me, you need this! I use mine with a Sabrent powered USB hub, which works great with my phantom powered audio interface and mini keyboard controller. Even my full size Yamaha digital piano worked, which to be honest I wasn't expecting! Almost anything that doesn't require drivers will work, but you definitely need a POWERED USB hub as most things won't work without one. I know paying full price for the official version sucks, but don't skimp on the unbranded version.

This is a great help in many cases. I use it to connect a microphone to my iPad, connect other USB devices to download and retrieve files. It was difficult for me to connect a "non-Apple" device to it. The trick for me is to not plug it in until I open the program and set it up for what I want to do. This. Plugging in with a mic plugged in often causes my iPad to turn off and restart. However, if I have an on-screen camera and I'm in video capture mode before I plug it in, it works every time…

A powered USB hub may be required.

If you are using this with a USB device (probably not a camera but an audio interface, ethernet, drives etc.) that DOES NOT have its own power supply, YOU MUST HAVE AN EXTRA USB HUB POWERED 120V for it . Lightning connector on Apple Camera Adapter POWER ONLY FOR IPAD, NOT FOR USB DEVICES. If you don't have a USB HUB WITH ADDITIONAL POWER SUPPLY, you'll get the error message "Unable to Use Device - The connected device is using too much power" on your iPad. I spent two hours with Apple techs who

Your only choice if you have Dragonfly Red and don't want pops and cracks

If you want to use an external DAC with your iPhone 7, you'll almost certainly need one of these adapters. Unfortunately, the USB Camera Adapter 2.0 had some issues with some external DACs, most notably the Audioquest Dragonfly Red. The 2.0 had annoying pops and pops after about an hour of listening. I'm happy to report that the new 3.0 adapter works great with no audio issues. The 3.0 adapter has the additional ability to charge when using a USB port with an optional Lightning connector. This…

More useful than ever with iPadOS.

I bought this product as an "upgrade" and it works perfectly. With the upcoming release of iPadOS, it's possible to use all types of USB sticks with a compatible iPad. I'm running the first public beta of iPadOS on the original iPad Pro and the 2017 release. I can read flash drives up to 256GB, SDXC cards (with an adapter) and SSDs up to 500GB. All of this requires external power, or the use of a powered USB hub, or both. Initially, only photo files could be read with this adapter, and then…

Connects midi devices and cameras to the iPad via the Lightning connector!

I bought this adapter to connect multiple midi devices (keyboard, drum controller etc.) and a Canon EOS R to an iPad Pro and iPad Mini 5 2nd gen, both of which have one have a lightning connector. I have found that this adapter provides a stable connection between devices and can provide enough charge to power an iPad when the connected device has its own power supply. I currently have an Arturia Keystep midi controller and sequencer keyboard connected to an iPad Pro (see my attached photo) and
