Review on Enhanced Apple 🔌 Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter by Ryan Fuhrer

I bought this adapter to connect multiple midi devices (keyboard, drum controller etc.) and a Canon EOS R to an iPad Pro and iPad Mini 5 2nd gen, both of which have one have a lightning connector. I have found that this adapter provides a stable connection between devices and can provide enough charge to power an iPad when the connected device has its own power supply. I currently have an Arturia Keystep midi controller and sequencer keyboard connected to an iPad Pro (see my attached photo) and the connection is solid. This adapter is also ideal for the iPad Pro when used with a Canon EOS R camera. Midi devices may require more power than the adapter can provide, so a separate power supply may be required to power them. Unfortunately, although my iPad Pro is powerful enough to power the keyboard, this adapter cannot provide enough power to charge the iPad. while using the keyboard in Garage Band, which is resource-hungry on its own. That's what I expected, so I bought a separate power supply for the Arturia Keystep. I can now keep my iPad fully charged when using the keyboard on the iPad Pro as Keystep no longer requires power from the iPad to function. I expect other midi controllers to work the same, with the same caveat. Depending on the power consumption that the device needs to operate, a separate power supply may still be required. All in all, this is a great little adapter that does exactly what I was hoping it would, and I can confidently recommend it to others who connect their iPads with Lightning connectors to cameras, midi keyboards, and other midi devices via USB3 have to.
