Love this hat. Some people tan cute. I am not one of them. My face turns splotchy in the sun. Was really worried about spending a month at the ocean, but I made it through with protected complexion. Even wore it while surface swimming, just not snorkeling or diving.Was nice that it has the strap under to catch it if the wind tried to take it away. It has an adjustable strap that you can tighten so that it's snugger around the head and less prone to blowing away-- a big help riding in boats on the ocean.This last isn't a complaint, just a heads up. I wish I had dried the small rivets that vent the hat whenever it got wet. They did start to rust some. Some Hydro peroxide and baking soda got out the rust, and I did a small touch of essential oil to prevent further rusting.
