I needed a folding bracket for my antenna so I could put my car in the garage. I put an NMO mount connector on it and had to open a hole to accommodate the NMO connector. I also added a Panavise magnet to the base of the mount so it's also a magnetic mount and I can take it off at any time. Now I can use the 5/8 wave antenna at 2 meters distance and enjoy the extra gain of the antenna. If you have a garage, it's best to use fooover with modern antennas.
