Truck coupling (plug) fills with water!

I wish I could give this review 0 stars. I was thrilled when I received these connectors and installing them on my truck was fairly easy. I read the good and bad reviews and chose this product because I have had good luck with Curt products in the past. After installing this connector on my truck, the problem I had previously seems to have been resolved. I only connected my trailer once. As I walked back to my truck with the trailer unhitched, I noticed that the light on my brake box was on. It was weird because it wasn't supposed to be on unless the trailer was attached. When I got to the plug to examine it it was full of water which shorted the terminals in the plug! I even took the advice of other reviews and siliconized the end of the clamp and the screws that hold the terminals in the case. It didn't help because somehow water got in through the lid. Now my fork is not mounted face up and exposed to rain. It's hidden under my bumper. Not a good situation because now after another rain the clamps are rusted and I will be replacing them soon. There's just no way to hold water. Buyer Warning!
