Saved my fish from freezing! Literally! My other heater didn't work, then my real central heating went out making the temperature 49 degrees and the aquarium water was sooooo cold it didn't even register the temperature. I took some water and added my 55 gallons of hot water. Reservoir to increase water temperature. I put a new heater in the aquarium and the fish started to move around more. When I say they were frozen I mean they were frozen so badly I thought 2 of them were already dead. I took 1 and put it down the toilet to flush but was surprised when it started to move. I immediately took it out and put it back in the aquarium. They ALL SURVIVED! I was shocked! POOR FISH! Came the next morning and they are all swimming again, so happy. I wish these heaters had a way of letting you know when they aren't working properly because I get red lights all the time. And it was the heater that came with the tank. I'm glad I found this heater. It worked quickly!
