I like to think that I keep the floor clean and when I put this little vacuum on my floor I didn't expect the dust bin to be full of debris . Dust, cat hair, flower petals (where do they even come from), a stick, whatever. I thought maybe I'll find Elvis there! (but no luck) So, based on how quiet it is, its ability to move around my very complex living/dining room, and its ability to find dust that I didn't even know existed. This talkative little vacuum cleaner easily deserves 5 stars. All the details: Unlike some other robot vacuums I've seen that are really just glorified dusters, this one has suction power. You can hear the suction when it works and you can see it in the results. But that's not the loud high-pitched noise that most vacuums make. And my cats are not afraid of it either, even a shy cat came out to look at it. (and hisses at it a few times) I would describe my room as a "very tough room" for a robot vacuum. It has a wide range of stages from which the robot could fall, but has not fallen. It has low hanging parts that the vacuum cleaner could literally get stuck under, again it doesn't, it has a table and chairs which seemed very difficult to him but he managed it again. The only thing I don't have in this room is tassel rugs. The only place I ran into problems was when it was time to get home, I initially placed the base in a corner next to my desk. But as soon as you tell it to "come home" (or just let it figure it out for itself), it changes modes and appears to use a different algorithm for navigation. The vacuum cleaner got lost under my desk, I had to move a couple of chairs and the table itself before it found a way out. I moved the homebase to a different location and there have been no problems since. The wipe function works perfectly. When the vacuum cleaner moves around the room and cleans the floor, it leaves a light film of water which it runs through a few times and cleans a bit. Mopping consists of two parts: there are small "cloth" brushes on the suction rod and there is a "mop" that attaches to the bottom. Together they mediocrely "wipe" the floor. You will surely get nothing but a spot of light. With daily cleaning, however, the floor can remain almost spotless. But I didn't have enough time to tell if it was going to happen or not. The only thing the mopping function should be good for is the "mud" stains on the floor, which are easy to wipe away, but I haven't tried it yet. (Shoes are not allowed on the floor) The remote is not IR so you don't have to chase the vacuum cleaner across the room to give it commands from the remote. The remote control is pretty basic and I found it intuitive and easy to use. In general, the vacuum cleaner is very easy to use. My first use was to simply press a button similar to the one that launched it. And it was off and tidying up my whole room. (then got lost under a table on the way back to base) He has one voice (don't know if it can be changed). The voice of the model I got is male, with an American sound. I wish it sounded like Alvin from the Chipmunks, it just seems more appropriate as that male voice sounded weird coming from a small turtle like a vacuum. It becomes very tight when you turn it on its back. He hasn't told me to get out of the way (yet), he just nudges me and keeps going. I haven't tried home integration or WiFi yet. Its basic cleaning skills are so good that keeping it connected to the house seems secondary. Overall this is a great vacuum cleaner, the vast majority of details are well thought out, there are many extra features in the box, it is easy to use and it sucks perfectly, there is a floor cleaning function. Easy 5 stars.
