Review on Brightwell Aquatics Nitrat-R: Ultimate Nitrate Removing Resin Filter Media for Marine Environments by Christine Zuniga

I bought this product because in a mixed reef aquarium I had consistently high nitrate levels (40-50) with good phosphorus levels along with poor coral growth/color and all with others Parameters verified (confirmed by Triton mail included). I put 500ml of resin in a filter bag in my sump in the relatively high flow zone. Over the next 3 weeks the lowest nitrate I got (along with the protein deprivation and NoPox dosage from RedSea) was 36! So unfortunately it just doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas on how to lower my nitrate levels?
