Nitrates, nitrates, nitrates

Every 4 days. I will do a 25% water change at least once a month. Every other time I use Nitrate-R. Need a reactor and your kit. Safe for fresh and salt water

Pros
  • Does not affect water quality, does not affect alkalinity and does not release nitrates after exhaustion
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Partially used item!

I received this package today and was very dissatisfied. When I received the package I found that it was lighter than usual. When I opened the packaging, the first thing I noticed was the crease in the inner lid. It had fold lines so I knew it was already open. When I opened it, it wasn't even half full! I am angry!

Pros
  • Regenerates over 250 times
Cons
  • Useless functions

High nitrate levels? No longer.

I think a great item. I was constantly struggling with nitrates reaching toxic levels in my tank and within 24 hours this product reduced my number 3 by almost half. After 3 days, water tests showed only traces. I have a moderately high bioload so I've found the two running in reactors about a month before I need to regenerate.

Pros
  • Powerful regenerated nitrate adsorption resin effective in marine and freshwater aquariums
Cons
  • So-so

It didn't work - not even a little bit!

I bought this product because in a mixed reef aquarium I had consistently high nitrate levels (40-50) with good phosphorus levels along with poor coral growth/color and all with others Parameters verified (confirmed by Triton mail included). I put 500ml of resin in a filter bag in my sump in the relatively high flow zone. Over the next 3 weeks the lowest nitrate I got (along with the protein deprivation and NoPox dosage from RedSea) was 36! So unfortunately it just doesn't work. Anyone have any

Pros
  • Does not need to be soaked in buffered water before use
Cons
  • Negative result exists

This is a real find

I make 1/4 cups of it in pantyhose and put it in HOB filters. You'll have to experiment to see how much you need in your aquarium. But my 29 gallon aquarium with two fancy goldfish is kept at 5ppm nitrate with 1/2 cup per week. He fills up on large quantities of cheap table salt. Be sure to follow the directions exactly - not just the salt concentration, but the absolute amount of salt. but reloading is painless and works almost indefinitely. Highly recommended. I don't know why it isn't used…

Pros
  • Age group Description: All phases of life
Cons
  • Has problems
