Review on 🛹 1 Inch Phillips Skateboard Hardware Set - Prime Quality by Scott Kulothungan

My son built his first skateboard when he was 12. We found and bought all the parts which was a great learning moment for the kid. Most skateboard components come with hardware to successfully use everything but the skateboard cart. We checked out Revane and found the perfect color combination for his yellow grip tape and black trucks. We ordered a 1" skateboard hardware kit sold by Surf and Skate Warehouse at Revain and it was actually the first of 5 purchases we made for the board. When installing rails on a skateboard, it's important to consider the thickness of the deck and truck mount. thickness to get the right size, especially if you use a pad pad between the carriages and the deck to reduce vibration. We didn't use pad pads, but we still had enough thread to install the pad. later - although I wouldn't go thicker than 1/8" we still have enough thread left over to probably accommodate a 1/4" damper. A 1-1/4" mounting kit is recommended, but there you go, on a 7-ply deck with trucks, you can get a decent cushion pad if needed. I am happy with the equipment. The teflon nuts held up well, the bolts withstood the fitting/assembly torque with no issues and the color was as pictured. Time will tell if they stay beautiful but the color appears to be very durable and does not rub off easily. The only place where the hardware's original color was visible was on the threads, which is understandable as the coating must remain minimal to allow the threads to penetrate the nut without being scratched or seized during installation. All in all I would definitely recommend Surf and Skate Warehouse hardware for skateboard building and my son will likely make additional purchases as the board components age or grow with him. Very reliable and as in the photo.
