I was so excited to be able to lock the truck bed if I had valuables in the truck bed. It was pretty easy to install and the OEM was pretty easy to remove. Everything turned out to be kosher and worked fine, just a small issue with the opening but I managed to work around that. it wasn't until the second time when it got stuck in the top position that i got tired of it and in my attempts to restore it to its original condition it broke and is now completely unusable. If I could return it I would do so immediately. Don't waste your time or money with this inferior gear, find it elsewhere with higher quality.
