    . I got one of these because I didn't have the key to my truck's existing lock. Very easy installation. I would recommend it.

    Received a defective item that could be confused.

    I received a defective product which you would think a refund would be obvious but I am still awaiting a refund over 2 weeks later and I was forced to submit all possible photographic evidence before the "next step". Ridiculous.

    Very good.: Exterior accessories

    Easy to assemble. The instructions were well written and easy to understand. Latch and lock worked well after installation. I wasn't impressed with the overall quality. The plastic frame never snapped properly and didn't stick to the tailgate. I basically had to recut the screw holes as the screws were very difficult to screw into. I'm also not enthusiastic about the new silver head screw on the inside of the tailgate. But it closes pretty well and opens the tailgate just like the original.

    Useless junk on truck bed and tailgate accessories

    I was so excited to be able to lock the truck bed if I had valuables in the truck bed. It was pretty easy to install and the OEM was pretty easy to remove. Everything turned out to be kosher and worked fine, just a small issue with the opening but I managed to work around that. it wasn't until the second time when it got stuck in the top position that i got tired of it and in my attempts to restore it to its original condition it broke and is now completely unusable.     Installation is easy. Don't worry about installing

    Installation: If you're worried about the complexity of installation, don't worry. It was extremely easy. I put off installing it after it arrived because I wanted to be skiing in 2 days and didn't want to get in trouble and have a tailgate that wouldn't close. Turns out I had it installed in about 30 minutes. It only takes so long because you're removing and replacing screws and reading the instructions.
