Tears in outer casing of yarn - project ruined

Very disappointed in this yarn. In the first skein I used, two areas had large tears in the outer casing (gray), revealing the white filling inside the yarn. Ridiculous to sell such a poorly constructed product, and there’s no way to realize the tears are in the skein until you’ve spent a lot of time creating your piece. Never buying Bernat again.

This woven tube yarn is perfect for mask strings. It is thick, soft, strong, and a bit stretchy.

Cons

Limited color options make it difficult to find the right shade for your project

I purchased this yarn to make a small scatter rug for my bedroom as I needed a super bulky yarn. Right out of the box, I thought it looked a little cheap and I wasn''t thrilled to use it although I did not return it and I did make my rug. Being made mostly of acrylic, it did not block very well, the imperfections in the shape were not able to be changed with blocking, which I was disappointed about. I thought it might have had enough natural fiber in it to make blocking effective but it was mostly a waste of time to block. I would have made the rug out of a different yarn if I had known it would turn out the way it did.
