Review on πŸ“± iSimple Hands-Free Calling and Music Streaming Kit with Control Button - Effortless Connectivity for Smartphones - Frustration-Free Packaging - Black by Jesse Nell

Excellent solution for vehicles with fiber optic MOST system.

My 2006 Porsche Cayenne, like the MB, Audi and BMW of the mid '00s, is cursed with a German MOST fiber optic bus audio system that is incompatible with secondary Bluetooth (and interchangeable audio heads) without a $700 Install audio system. Fiber optic interface or a crappy FM transmitter plugged into the cigarette lighter. Transit BLU HF finally offers an alternative! It's hooked up via an FM antenna and sounds really great. It is passive until a cellphone call comes in or music is played over BT; then interrupts the FM broadcast on the selected frequency. The FM radio must be turned on and tuned to the specified frequency. It doesn't turn on the radio or change modes automatically for a call. The sound quality via BT is absolutely crystal clear and almost as good as from CDs. The modulator frequency is preset to 98.1 but can be reset to any frequency using iSimple's app. The only thing I don't like is that other FM stations cannot be tuned in without turning off BT using the module's control button and it stays on an open (quiet) frequency, noise can be heard. However, it is responsive to the control button and quickly proceeds when a call comes in. I'm glad I finally have a hands-free phone and BT music without spending many hundreds on a fiber interface. For German cars you will need a pair of Euro antenna cable adapters; Male Female. It's not a difficult task skill-wise, but if you're unfamiliar with behind-the-dash real estate, you might want to consider professional installation.
