Review on 💪 Efficient and Reliable Little Giant VCMX-20ULST 554550 VCMX Series Automatic Condensate Removal Pump: 115V, 1/30 HP with Safety Switch by Daniel Anderson

I have a portable air conditioner that I use in my bedroom while I sleep and the drain plug is under my windowsill. For the past year it has dripped into a 5 gallon bucket and I emptied the bucket in the morning. Well, it's gotten so hot this summer that the bucket is overflowing when I wake up, so I had to think of a better method. This little giant pump is the perfect solution! The portable air conditioner drips into its half gallon container, not my 5 gallon bucket. When it's full enough, the float switch goes off and the pump starts pumping water out my window. Very simple design and works great. It's also so quiet that you can barely hear it even when the air conditioning isn't running. I took the secondary alarm sensor apart and wired it to only complete the circuit when triggered. I took a Glentronics BWD-HWA, cut the wires from the sensor and connected them to the Little Giant alarm wires. So now if the pump fails the secondary switch turns on the alarm which is a high pitched fire alarm tone waking me up immediately to take care of the problem.
