The dealer charged $224 to replace this one. sadness forever. Thank goodness there is YouTube where I figured out how to remove the engine guard so I can get to that. This particular part didn't have the oddly shaped plastic shoulder on the side. I managed to remove it from the old boot and reuse it. The only downside was that it was attached with what appeared to be a decent .25" hose clamp which was not in the new trunk and which I destroyed trying to remove it. The oddly shaped appendage attached to the side of the trunk turned out to be hollow. It seemed to me that the only purpose was to fill the empty space. There must be no free space under the hood.
