This machine works very well with good foam in both powder and cartridges. Loading a personal roast. The pump is very efficient, the various powder basket and cartridge adapters are very durable and made of hardened plastic similar to what is used in your best home machines. As with all espresso machines, experimentation with grind size is required unless cartridges are used. This product is made in China. I am giving 4 stars due to the limited use of stainless steel, its water tank is PBA free plastic, the strainer at the bottom of the basket, pump and piercer are stainless steel. Overall very durable and functional as described. I hope this is useful information. Enjoy.
