Great if you have USB gear and a new MacBook

Apple is famous for getting rid of things before we're ready to give them up. I have several devices that I use with my new MacBook and they are all USB. But Apple has decided to do away with USB altogether, so now we need things like this until we update and get all the new devices. what will I resist. This is great because now I can use my USB hard drives. There are only two things that make them less than perfect. First, they need to be a bit deeper as part of the USB sticks out a little at the end making the connector look like it's about to fall out. Both parts just need to be a little deeper. The other thing is that since it's USB it's wider and therefore you can't use two of them together. If they made them so that the Thunderbolt connector was on the right or left instead of the middle, you could use two of them in adjacent ports. But as it is, you end up losing a port with them. It doesn't matter since I have a USB port hub for the other side of my laptop, but it's really something they should have discovered during the design phase and made it so you can use two side by side. I still recommend them as handy if you just need to use a USB device quickly. Let's see how long it will be before Apple ditches Thunderbolt ports and we have to switch to something else.
