I like it, thanks for the quality product.

We needed a strict box, beautiful in its minimalism, that would not look like an alien from Mars or a transformer. I deliberately looked for an option with a blank panel, so as not to see the iron inside. At first, I wanted to place a pair of SSDs behind the motherboard and a pair of 3.5" HDDs in a basket in the lower PSU bay, but they are stupidly hot there! Operating temperatures have risen by 10-13 degrees! a lot for them, but in the previous case it was 38 and 34. As a result, I had to make it less beautiful and rearrange the inner wall, hiding the drive trays behind it, placing them so that they were under the front fans. Nevertheless, the case with stock coolers is very stuffy. To lower the temperature - increase the speed of the coolers - you get more noise - 0 difference with a case with good ventilation and poor sound insulation. Ideally, 3 additional fans should be installed in front: two up with the replacement of the top panel with a holey one (already less beautiful) and one more in front. Maybe even add a couple to the floor for blowing. So far I've stuck another fan on the front (on the floor), but I'm thinking about blowing through the top. I also have two video cards, which is why the top one is fairly heated by the bottom one and simply overheats in a completely closed case. To play games, you have to open the side wall and the door. In general, the issue of cooling is quite acute, but I cannot refuse the second card and will invent with coolers. Because of the jambs, I did not return the case (it was already assembled and too lazy to carry), although I did not expect this from Fractal Design. It can be seen that all the details of the case are made very high quality, but the final assembly can fail. I recommend checking everything before buying.

Pros
  • A great option for aesthetes, ideal for IKEA interiors. Compared to the R6, it has even fewer elements that clung to the eye: there is no longer a stupid hatch in the top cover (now there are just two of them in the kit: solid and with ventilation), a bevel for the port panel and buttons, and the recesses for fingers to open the door, and the aluminum door trim finally matches the white color of the cabinet. The blue power LED was replaced with a white one - generally a pure buzz. Lots of USB ports and most importantly, they are parallel! A card reader with a card does not cover the neighboring port, buzz! Itโ€™s convenient to work with the case: I scattered the panels, put them on the table and twirl as you like, there is easy access to everything, all these loops for fixing wires, pockets for noodles, etc. A lot of options for placing drives, although these plates are with 2.5-inch drives they donโ€™t look very good in general and itโ€™s not very convenient to work with the PSU. I like the fact that the chassis of the case is monolithic and does not play at all even without installed skins. As a minus - quite heavy, especially for those who go to McDonald's instead of the hall.
Cons
  • - Pulling out DP cables with a latch from the card in the lowest slot is a real torment! (see photo) On my previous case, the recess for expansion slots ended much lower than the last slot and the plug could be wrapped around from all sides; - The LED under the power button shines through with an ugly spot. The issue was resolved by painting the inside with an opaque varnish (see photo of the result). And in general, I expected to see a metal button with milling a la Apple-style, but I did not find a photo on the Internet. Already upon receipt, I saw just plastic painted with rough paint, also of the type with milling. Not very pleasant to the touch and will definitely collect dirt from your fingers, even if you wash them every five minutes; - My copy has uneven gaps between all panels. On a black case, this would not be so noticeable, but on a white one, even a half-millimeter difference in the gap between the beginning and end of the panel can be seen two meters away. I tried to rectify the situation by twisting a couple of screws, but this helped partially and only on one side. On the other hand, it is already necessary to change the rivets and itโ€™s not a fact that they didnโ€™t miss the holes for them; - In addition to the gaps, a second jamb of the assembly was discovered: along the casing of the PSU compartment there is a stamped metal strip, which is part of the frame of the case. At the beginning of the door, it adjoins the casing of the PSU compartment without gaps, and closer to the end of the case, the gap is a good 2-3 mm! At the same time, not far from the end, there is a trace from some kind of tool, as if they tried to press this strip to the PSU casing, but it did not work out (see photo). It is not at all clear what went wrong in this case.

Has pros: Good equipment, ease of assembly, good cooling for such a cube Cons: It would be cool if they put rubber washers for the coolers to make the case even more vibration resistant. Well, +1 complete fan would not hurt :)

Some pros: Convenient installation of computer components. Easy access to internals. Good breathability. Good soundproofing. All covers are removable without tools. Some cons: Thin metal. Removing covers without tools is not always a good idea.

The 6th version was still more interesting. More reliable, right?
