Review on Waverly Inspirations Chalk Finish Acrylic by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use, fits well!

Used this color (as well as Minwax polyacrylate) on old oak cabinets/1980's kitchen renovation. Polyacrylic paint will not stain yellow-white paint and is a hard, impervious/water resistant finish (better than the traditional wax finish used for chalk paint and requires much less maintenance as the wax appears to need frequent reapplication). I recommend this paint for any furniture repair. In my opinion, the quality is in no way inferior to Annie Sloan, but costs a little less. (I used Aquacoat to fill in the wood grain before painting the cabinets. I used a 2" foam brush to paint the back of the cabinets against the wall. I removed the doors to paint them.) Also recommended : Wagner Flexio 4000 sprayer to get a smooth finish on doors and drawer surfaces. You just have to cut the paint and the polyacrylate with 10% water. It came out great!
