I bought this cable because I have decided to now get rid of the modem/router combo provided by my ISP and move my modem and router to a new location that improves coverage in my house without having to buy a repeater, of course I ran the cable where I wanted and in fact happened on the same day my ISP's technology came out for some of the problems I was having with my modem /router had. Needless to say, as soon as he saw the cable he told me that the gold plated end wasn't really preferred for coaxial cable and had to be replaced with a nickel plated cable, which I think he could have done for me in time. I had in mine. All in all the cable itself gave me no problems before the tech came and brought this issue to my attention so everything seems fine and works great I think.
