🔧 Enhanced KeySmart Expansion Pack: Inclusive of Screws, Spacers, and Posts (Accommodates up to 22 Keys) Review

KeySmart key holders have male and female metal pins on opposite ends. My KeySmart housekeeper broke the male thread on the end of a post. To replace this tiny part I seemed to have no choice but to purchase this expansion pack based on what was available. It has way more detail than I need. On the other hand, I think it's unrealistic for KeySmart to sell individual parts. I still like it and will continue to use my KeySmart.

I bought myself and my partner a Keysmart for Christmas. It took us a while to convert our keys to the Keysmart system. I only have a few keys and use the normal system, but my partner uses a lot more keys so I bought him an expansion pack. The expansion pack didn't stay in his pocket. He lost the screw while pulling the keys out of his pocket. (He later found it in the driveway, but has no interest in using the Keysmart system again.

I've been using KeySmart since 2016 and need to upgrade from 5 to 6 keys but I don't know where I put the original box. Ordered this and replaced the original screw posts with the ones in this upgrade kit. Some minor adjustments to D-ring placement were needed, but nothing major. Yes, it's a little difficult to keep everything in place when tightening the screws, but it's worth it. 5 Stars! Now I hope I remember where I put the rest of this set if I need it in the future.

To be honest, it wasn't easy for me to put KeySmart together. It could only be me. But part of the problem was that even with multiple keywords, the posts didn't appear long enough. After some frustration I ordered this kit which allowed me to lengthen the stays and gave me more spacers and bam! I love it. I have one that has a built in tile function and it has helped me find keys a few times already. :D But I would recommend this set if you have more keys or if you just feel that the standard…

Although suggested below on the Keysmart page I bought, it is a screw with a different thread. It does not fit. Make sure you (sort of) check you're getting the right expansion set for the key you have. As you say, I don't know, but there is a thin thread (the original keysmart product I bought) and a course thread (this expansion kit) that was sent to me. I don't see anything on the product pages that says what you're buying, whether it's an expansion kit or an original key fob.

First of all I have to say that I love this product. The KeySmart system is great, but I had a round, high-security key for the lock that didn't fit in the suitcase. With the expansion pack, I was not only able to easily fit it into the KeySmart, I was also able to fit several smaller keys into the round open end of the key (see image). keyrings. It really should cost around $3.50. What is that? 8 small posts, two screws and about a dozen washers. You're paying for convenience because they're all the right size for the KeySmart system, they're no better or worse than any other screw/stand/fiber washer. You can go to HomeDepot or Lowes and do the same thing for maybe five or six bucks, but because of the way things are packaged it can double the price. I bought this to add to another set I already had for my Titan Casemart. It's worth noting that the resistance that comes with keymart isn't very strong. I think it's meant for a full size screw. The extension thread is not long enough to fit the Keymart case. I've broken down a few times because of this. I ended up cutting off the stock steering knuckles flush with the chassis. Once I did that the extensions were much more secure and they lasted a while. I had to add a few more keys and there…
