Yes, this Garmin ANT+ dongle is way more expensive than the sub $20 dongles you can buy. I started with one of those cheap ones that plugged into the side of my laptop, which was sitting on a computer shelf on a monitor stand in front of the bike. Worked fine with Zwift but had some crashes on TR. I took an extension, placed it right next to the machine, and then used another extension that holds the wrench upright. Definitely better, but there were still occasional dips in TR. There are no problems with Zwift. I bought a Garmin dongle in hopes of fixing the problem. Immediately noticed the difference in Zwift and TR. When an app loads in Zwift, the first thing you see is the pairing screen. With a cheap key, even if I got everything working before downloading Zwift, it would take 10-20 seconds for the trainer and HRM to connect and for Zwift to continue working. With the Garmin dongle the connection was instant, once the screen appeared everything was connected. The same goes for TR, the connection was there immediately. Haven't ridden it yet but will do a number of rides and edit this review. But you can see immediately that the connection with the Garmin dongle is much better. Will it lead to zero dropout? The time will show. Several days in use. There are no problems yet, the connection is much better, the signal does not disappear.
