As expected for CFLs

This CFL bead performs as expected ie takes 1-2 minutes to reach full brightness but that is par for the course with most low wattage bulbs , no ? At full brightness there is a clear bright light, not too blue. I also bought a 65K globe (i.e. daylight) to compare the colors. The 50K light is whiter in my opinion, but in my case it works really well on a laundry room ceiling. I install the 65K in my dressing room and am happy with how the colors look without going to the window. If you can live with a lag to full brightness I wouldn't hesitate to buy them, but especially for places where the sight of those big bulbs wouldn't be distracting.
