Review on ☕️ Enhanced Presto 02811 12-Cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker for Optimal Brewing Experience by Miranda Warren

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's not your main percolator and it's not very good.

After trying to make a cup of coffee and terrible customer service at Presto. I went back to a stove top coffee maker (8 cup Faberware Yosemite). The Presto block is very finicky during the brew cycle. Soil (any size) clogs the basket easily, and if you choose to use paper filters, the problem will only get worse. Electric percolators have a central superheating element with a recess (heating well) for heating a small amount of water. fast and hot enough to go up the perc tube. The perchlorethylene hose has a movable washer that opens to allow water to flow into that overheated tub. The washing machine can frequently fail even when clean, resulting in insufficient coffee extraction during the brew cycle. Presto's hot duct appears to be a solid piece of aluminum and reacts to coffee and/or mild dish soap turning black. Wiping this heater well with a towel will wipe away a significant amount of soot build up easily. The hob model has no electronics, is dishwasher safe and is made entirely of non-reactive stainless steel or glass. If the basket is clogged, water will overflow; run down the sides of the basket and also give under the extracted coffee. What works right one time doesn't work the next time. In contrast, a stovetop percolator works with no moving parts, and you can control the water temperature and brewing time to ensure flavor consistency. As for customer service, I won't go into detail, but I will say make sure you document everything. I did this, but the problem still wasn't solved properly. After all, these devices are so cheap and often fail within a year that it's not worth trying to find faults with $40. My advice: If you want brewed coffee, spend less money on a model that has stainless steel construction with a sight glass and stovetop brewing.
