I'm a homeowner and an all-rounder. I needed something to help with the housework. Wall laying and working in my garage. I have a standard 3 foot level that fits me just fine. After reading the reviews for this level, it occurred to me how nice it would be to add sound to avoid looking at the bubble. One review mentions end caps or leveling lugs. I found a very small buildup of paint on one end. After the device has zeroed, this accumulation should not come into play. A piece of sandpaper on a flat workbench to "sand off" the end will fix this. Agreed, it would "ruin" the look of the paint, but it would make it believable end to end. For example, I could not return the tool because of this. I'm impressed with the quality of the level. Once installed, it's easy to reset and customize. I found that even the pitch was very accurate. I see if I were a builder by trade this would be a great addition to my everyday tools. A good product.
