The most accurate digital level I have ever used. .

The most accurate digital level I have ever used. It reads exactly the same even if you rotate it 180 degrees. No errors, high accuracy, reliable for ADA operation. No doubt with inspectors to show you did the job right. Other digital levels are displayed almost 2% different when rotated 180 degrees, which can lead to errors and rework. Very consistent and reliable.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Rumpled

It works very well and is easy to calibrate. worth your money.

I have a small level and use it all the time, it is very accurate and now that it comes with a longer level I use it for everything leveling related Very easy to calibrate with very clear and understandable instructions. The device is very easy to read and extremely helpful in many situations. It also comes with a very nice easy-to-carry protective case.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

It seems to work for measure and markup tools

It's ok but c'mon it's a level. How difficult was it to place the display on top instead of on the side? It's made for ADA inspectors, 90% of whom are looking down some kind of sidewalk or ramp. Calibration is an exercise and is meant to be done daily, but it is accurate. The Stabila version costs almost $300, but it has a dual display and I'm not aware of the calibration effort. I want to see the processed bottom and top. This one has just been canceled but I've tested it with some businessโ€ฆ

A Must Have for Surveyors ADA

The 24" Macklenburg-Duncan SmartTool is the fastest, most accurate method of measuring grade and cross slope of ramps, sidewalks and parking lots per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA ) One of the Big improvements over the old SmartLevel tool is that the calibration function is much easier and faster. Since it takes less than a minute, I can ensure maximum accuracy by recalibrating the SmartTool at the beginning of each shot. I also really like the hold function , which allows you toโ€ฆ

Good level, but definitely calibrate!

Very good level with excellent accuracy. Please note that you need to calibrate this instrument before using it for the first time (and after it has been hit or bumped, or after it has been standing for a long time). I took my new layer to line the windowsill I was framing. I finished framing the window sill and decided to double check with my old 48" level and it was off by over 3/8". I double checked with another cheap 24" level and it matched my usual 48" level. I did the calibrationโ€ฆ

Good features, poor customer service

I was familiar with your old product. I've used friends a few times and I liked it so I bought it. At the same time, they changed the design and made it cheaper in quality. The old design was brushed aluminum with very comfortable grips. The new design is a painted flat aluminum rod. I placed a level on the table saw table to calibrate it. I noticed a gap below the level. The frame plane was not flush. The reason for this is that there was a small ledge at the end of the level which caused theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Includes 1 spirit level and case; 9V battery not included
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Professional tool, top level

I have been an inspector on government funded road and bridge projects for almost 15 years and can attest to the reliability and accuracy of this tool. Don't be stingy and get the Sears version. This tool uses a different technology and its accuracy is amazing. Also, the Sears version cannot be calibrated. I often compare my MD Smart Levels to contractors and always find them spot on. These things fail, and if the bubble itself is damaged, you can simply replace the bubble in the aluminum boxโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Aluminum frame for light weight
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good product for beginners

I'm a homeowner and an all-rounder. I needed something to help with the housework. Wall laying and working in my garage. I have a standard 3 foot level that fits me just fine. After reading the reviews for this level, it occurred to me how nice it would be to add sound to avoid looking at the bubble. One review mentions end caps or leveling lugs. I found a very small buildup of paint on one end. After the device has zeroed, this accumulation should not come into play. A piece of sandpaper on aโ€ฆ

Pros
