I'm always looking for new blocks. This is special compared to others I have. HOW IT HAPPENED It was wrapped in plastic, which is important if your package gets wet in the rain. Notepad needs to be protected. THE SIZE. This notepad is A5, 6 x 8.5 inches in size. I must have misread the description. I expected something more. SURFACE The surface texture is smoother than many other cold pressed papers I have. This is for more detailed work. PERFORMANCE This document performed well in my tests. I plan to do more portraits or detailed paintings here using some water colors and some watercolor pencils for fine detail. I haven't worked with it much, but it holds the color in the base coat quite well. I prefer to paint in more detail on this paper than on the freer form I do with coarser textures. So far it works well with watercolor paints. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. It's nice to have a different paper surface to work on with my watercolors, which also requires a watercolor pencil to add nice detail.
