One of the main reasons I ordered these earrings was due to the many reviews of how comfortable they are for sensitive ears. I wear earrings with 8 holes in each ear, some through the lobes, some through the cartilage. I'm sure it's easy to guess that over time I lose or break my earrings and replacing so many of them can get expensive. When I discovered these new plastic stud earrings, which are said to be gentle on sensitive ears and also inexpensive, I was excited to try them. However, I had a different experience than many of the other reviewers. I couldn't wear them for even an hour, then they hurt so bad I had to take them off. It's been a few days and my ears still hurt. The cause of my pain may not lie in the material, but in another reason. I think the posts are a bit thicker than the average post. I wear small earrings so my piercing hasn't stretched at all over the years. If so, you probably won't have a problem with the large message size. I'll try them again in a week or two. If my opinion changes, I will update my review. TO UPDATE. I've tried wearing them again but they still hurt my ears. I can wear them in a bullet piercing but not through the lobes. I am convinced that the pain is not related to the material they are made of, but to the larger than average pen size.
