Review on Black Merrell Choprock Water Shoes for Men - High-performing Footwear by Bill Wasson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Calnt error: my rating

Having bought Merrell shoes for over 10 years I have nothing but good things to say, it was a total disappointment. The quality control is terrible and the product itself has massive designer bases. Stitches are gross abrasives and run down the inside of the healing, acting like a cheese grater. The lacing system on the laces is very long which makes it uncomfortable and has to be twisted. After trying to wear them indoors, the stitching has already unraveled and the laces have snapped! Tried a few times after wearing them pointless for my 3 month trip and you can only wear them with thick socks. I don't dare to swim in it because in the first case you don't need to wear socks, in the second case the friction becomes even worse and in the third case I'm afraid that they will fall apart. I complained to Merrell and they turned me down completely, to be honest it's a return to the drawing board for this design and a big dent in Merrel loyalty. Overpriced, bad design, terrible quality.

Pros
  • A longtime Merrill fan of the size 15. But I miss mesh water shoes where they have holes. Protects against gravel. Sturdy footwear!
Cons
  • They may not provide adequate arch support for people with high arches.
