Wake up your V6 with spares

I bought a valance CAI for my previous car and was happy with it although I had to make some personal modifications to get the tone and performance I wanted , to eliminate a very annoying roar around 2800 rpm. Then I bought a 2014 Mustang V6 and decided on another CAI and after some research I decided to try this Airaid. - Step by step instructions. This box went MUCH easier than the old valance and fitted perfectly. The only tricky part was fitting the rubber hose very snugly to the throttle body, but you want it to be snug so it was worth it. As another person said, just rub the oil around your lip with your fingertip and it slides right off. The total installation time was about 40 minutes, but most of the time I was trying to find some missing parts. In the end, the fit is great and the look is very professional and high quality. After installing it, I checked all the connections and ran it. At idle there is little to no difference, which I think is a good thing. But once I fed her air. WOAAAAAA! The difference in sound day and night. So, I took it for a test run and normal ride, no noticeable difference. But as soon as I turned it on, it sounded like a sports car SHOULD sound. The engine sound alone was worth the money. In terms of performance, I'd say I felt a slight boost, but I'm realistic enough to know you won't really notice it. I'll track the EPA fuel and report later, but I'm expecting a 1mpg gain, which doesn't sound like much, but if you calculate how much you save over the course of a year, this little one will pay for it himself. I could go along with it not be happier with this product.
