Used a feeler gauge only to find they were all preset straight out of the box to 0.30/0.75mm. These connectors are a direct OEM replacement for my 18 year old SeaDoo GTR-X. Put them in with a fresh oil and change the filter after 25 hours. All you need is a set of torx bits and a spark plug head with a few inches of extension. If you don't have a spark plug socket, a 5/8 socket will loosen the spark plugs. You can then use the rubber end of the coil packs to grab each plug to pull them out and plug them back into each hole. There is no need to drop them into pipes during installation just for them to hit the block. I recommend applying a small amount of anti-seize to the threads, this will make future removal a little easier. Also, a small amount of dielectric grease on the top of the plug where the coil connects can help prevent future condensation problems. Especially if you ever turn the boat upside down.
