My cats are partially occupied by remote controlled thieves. They seem overjoyed when they manage to knock it over and the battery cover comes off AND the batteries are scattered (which they then play with and scatter in the wind, never to be seen again). I bought this remote control holder and plugged it in. on the side of the table, and the consoles have been where we left them ever since. We have a TV remote and a FireTV remote, and they both fit comfortably along with a pair of pens and a stylus, which are also often prey to cats. The plastic is nice and strong and there are slits on the bottom so it's not a crumb catcher. It's also fairly unobtrusive. + from me.
