Review on ๐Ÿงฝ Convenient Kitchen Sink Organizer: Joseph Joseph 85049 Sink Caddy Sponge Holder - Large, Green by Crystal Barnes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In general, I like it, but there are also disadvantages.

I used the smaller version for 2 years and then left it when I moved in and got the larger one instead. In general, both versions are very convenient and useful. I would recommend this to people who like to use long dishwashing brushes like mine. The bottom is very well made and expands to protect your counters from water and soapy water. This is a great product, but only if you get the right size and color, use it properly and clean it regularly: 1. Size: Takes up a lot of space in the kitchen. I had to rearrange everything and put it on the countertop next to the sink because it didn't fit completely in the back of the sink. So if you don't have much space around the sink, choose a smaller one.2. Color: I chose green because it's cheaper now, but I'm starting to hate it. I think I'll switch to gray. It just stands out too much and doesn't create the atmosphere I want in my kitchen. 3. Use: put a rag in the row, because this is not too good. It gets wet and rough because you keep sticking wet brushes in and letting them drip water/soap onto the rag. I just put it there to show that it can be done if you need it. I sometimes put wet rags in there. Putting a bottle of dish soap in it seemed like a good idea and was one of the reasons I wanted a bigger bottle, but I've been doing this for a few weeks now and it's not practical at all. I put a soap dispenser inside (instead of regular dish soap bottles) because I have a giant infinity jar of Costco dish soap. Maybe this works better with regular bottles, but .4. Cleaning: This thing is all plastic, so soap scum tends to collect in compartments that you don't usually check often, but when I discovered this on my previous one, I couldn't even get rid of the smell. It was disgusting. Therefore, you need to wash it at least once a week if you plan to keep it for a long time. It's also one of the reasons why I wouldn't recommend taking the large version and putting a bottle of soap in it. As a result, the need for cleaning increases almost every day. It's pretty easy to wash though. All parts are disassembled and you can easily clean each part like regular cookware.

Pros

Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
