Look, this isn't the easiest spice rack to install yourself. It is all disassembled and cannot be reassembled until the wall brackets are already on the wall. This makes it very difficult to install wall mounts straight without measuring a million times. That being said (and I'm no expert so it probably took me 4 times as long as many) it's REALLY GREAT as a spice rack. The shelves are thick enough for two tiers of condiments, and I use the top shelf for full bottles of soy sauce, vinegar, etc. (so strong!) just like I wanted. It's worth it! A warning: I have a silver spice rack with hooks. The hooks are made of stainless steel and underline the fact that the frame is painted silver. I have chosen not to use them, but if I had a specific use for them I would be annoyed.
