Review on Replacement Universal Foam Cycling Helmet by Mark Kolipano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good pads but not good glue

I have an old Giro E2 helmet which luckily has not been in an accident but the pads are almost rotten. So I ordered this set to replace most of my old pads. The pads in this set have a decent feel, not great, but decent. They absorb sweat and stay put, but at the same time I'm not sure if they're made from the highest quality materials. However, I only paid about $10 for this set, so I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. My only real complaint about the set is the poor adhesion on the pads. Once attached to the helmet, they often fall off without much pressure. For myself I removed the pads and covered the back lightly with 3M Liquid Foam Adhesive. They're much better attached now (but can still be removed if needed) and I'm enjoying the feel of my old E2 helmet like it did when it was new. I also didn't use most of the small velcro straps because they create pressure points that I find painful even with pads. Overall I would give this set of pads 3.5 to 4 stars. Over the months I will come back and update this review. This set will definitely help you with your old helmet but if you need high quality then look elsewhere.
