Better than buying a new helmet

This product arrived early and was as described. I replaced all the worn bike helmet seals and the helmet was like new. Additional velcro/adhesive pads were appreciated. The helmet fits comfortably and stays firmly in place at a fraction of the cost of a replacement. There are even leftover pads to accommodate future needs. I would have given 5 stars but I felt the cost of the pads was a bit high for what you got. Anyway, I'm happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good option for serious cyclists

I cycle 14 km to/from work and cycle several thousand km/year. The pads in my helmet are usually wet from riding and harden over time from the formation of salt crystals. I change the forehead pad every month and it really helps keep the helmet comfortable. I think I could try washing my helmet, but replacing the pads is easy enough, I've never tried it. There is nothing unusual about these overlays. I change them regularly and they work.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Revitalizing our old helmets

We've had our helmets long enough that the original foam liners are long gone. Model-specific replacement pads are quite expensive (almost the cost of a new helmet) and they don't even really exist given the age of the ones we have. They were perfect for getting them comfortable again. Some trimming is needed but I have most of the bag left over after fixing two of them. Good product and I wish it was a little cheaper available in local big box stores but I was happy with the results.

Pros
  • Highest scores for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Updates available

My favorite helmet is still in great shape

Foam is the first thing to wear out in a helmet. My favorite helmet is still in great shape and fits my bike, but the foam pads have rotted from sweat and friction. Non-biodegradable styrofoam is the last thing that ages unless you break it! It's a worthy all-around replacement for helmet foam. Replacement foam does not have to be exact as foam pads are for comfort, not safety. Styrofoam provides compression that will save your skull in an accident. The "Replacement Universal Foam Pad Kit"…

The more the better.

I have an old Giro Gila helmet that has been used endlessly and has saved me from all the dirt that falls on the road. When the pads became old and worn out from years of wear and tear, I looked for replacement pads on my helmet. From OEM Pads vs Universal Pads, the difference is just a few dollars less than OEM. The OEM pads can only be swapped out in the original locations, while you can strategically place the generic pads anywhere and in a few places. You can pretty much lace up your entire

Matching replacement

I bought these to replace the OEM foam in an old Giro Eclipse helmet. The foam is just the right width to conform to the helmet's existing structure and allowed me to customize the fit even more than the OEM foam. I ended up with five pieces, one of which had to be cut in half to fit along the temple. The velcro stickers seemed to stick to the helmet well and stayed put after about 80 miles of riding in a wet environment. The velcro was a little weaker than the original velcro pads in terms of…

Good pads but not good glue

I have an old Giro E2 helmet which luckily has not been in an accident but the pads are almost rotten. So I ordered this set to replace most of my old pads. The pads in this set have a decent feel, not great, but decent. They absorb sweat and stay put, but at the same time I'm not sure if they're made from the highest quality materials. However, I only paid about $10 for this set, so I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. My only real complaint about the set is the poor adhesion on…
