Risk of entanglement of chicks. Dangerous for newborn chickens. I do not recommend.
I have been feeding my finches with this nest building product. Finches like the material, but I've had two separate instances where the chicks got badly tangled with their legs in the fine fibers. Each strand is very strong and I had to cut them to remove them from the baby's delicate and fragile legs. I will no longer use this product due to the increased risk of injury to baby finches when providing birdhouses for breeding.
