Great material for bedding but my parrots don't like it.

I think this is a great bedding material but my parrots don't like it. I put it in a brood box before birth, but the birds always remove it from their territory. This can be too much for parrots. Parrots can be picky.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No gun

Birds Love It!: Birds

I'm no expert on bird nest supplies, but I ordered some as gifts for the little mourning dove that flies each summer to give birth to her young on my fire escape. I just put something next to her spot and she used a ton for hours to give her sad wet nest a strong light! Thanks very much!

As a result, I bought two packages for both cages. I'm glad I was able to find safe nesting material for my parrots. Let's see if they know what to do with him other than play with him. I recommend this nesting material because it is safe for all small birds. For some reason not all pet stores have this product so I was glad I found it online.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

I have been feeding my finches with this nest building product. Finches like the material, but I've had two separate instances where the chicks got badly tangled with their legs in the fine fibers. Each strand is very strong and I had to cut them to remove them from the baby's delicate and fragile legs. I will no longer use this product due to the increased risk of injury to baby finches when providing birdhouses for breeding.

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • Negative is present

Great toy for parrots. Holds her attention all day long.

I placed it in the parrot cage (2) on the ladder between the rungs and it only took about 30 seconds for my parrots to start pulling and chewing on the fibers. They play with this material more than anything else in their habitat. I find clumps of fiber on the floor of her cage about five times a day, and the birds on the swing look down at her, but they don't fall. to. They wait for me to put it back on the stairs and then attack in seconds. I definitely recommend it for parrots.

Birds don't care much about this

We set up 3 birdhouses to attract nesting birds. We also produce coir, alpaca fur and raw cotton as nesting material. Birds made nests in our bird feeders but showed little interest in coir or raw cotton. We bought alpaca fur through Revain but were told it is readily available from alpaca farms within 30 miles of our home who also display their produce in garden stores etc. Of the three materials we provided, alpaca fur is mainly used. . We live next to an open field and an open forest. But we
