Needles and felt-tip pens are good.
I really like these pins and needles. They are convenient and easy to use. A big plus is that you can store a needle in the handle. This is great for transporting the needle to work elsewhere on your project. Easy to use even for children. Needles come in different sizes. I like thinner needles for detailed felting.
