Review on Effortlessly Crush And Slice Garlic With Cestari Kitchen'S Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Garlic Press by Tim Clark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Initially I loved this product

Initially I loved this product. It felt sturdy and minced garlic well although it did need some pretty strong squeezing from me (my stainless zyliss was much easier to use). I paid full price for it ($39.99) so am pretty annoyed to see it as discounted as it is now ($19.99). What annoys me even more is that shortly after the return window closed the press broke, rather spectacularly! My best guess is that the plastic blade protector was cracked and the pressure of squeezing pushed the plastic against the metal in a way that made several of the blades ping off and fly into the food I was preparing. This shouldn't happen with anything that is used for food prep but even more so for such a premium priced product!

Pros
  • Enhances aroma: Crushed garlic releases more aroma than chopped garlic.
Cons
  • The garlic press can be difficult to use for those with carpal tunnel syndrome
