Review on Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Spring Kit (57284) by Christopher Isaac

All shares removed. Design flaw

I usually like that this company installed them on the previous generation F150 with no problems, but the design flaw is that they remove all fender gaps for 2015 and even with at fully deflated pockets are just 2 inches of travel left, which as soon as you hit a pothole will punch out the bottom and wipe out the pockets. After installing and discovering this problem, I searched the internet and found that many people were having this problem. I think in order to get this kit to work on my truck and restore my quality I need to change the brackets where their engineers should have been and noted before they started selling they seem to have had this problem for the last 2 years and haven't fixed it yet. If you contact Airlift, they "know" about the problem, but they didn't have another solution. I replaced them with another kit. However, if you have a K gooseneck or a Having attached the fifth wheel wheel to the f150 frame rails this is the only kit on the market that will work without modifications to the fifth wheel mounting plate.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
