Worked as stated.
Used to save vehicle settings when installing a new battery on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The long cord made it easy to connect to an external power source. I opened the car door and waited for the lights to go out before plugging in the memory saver to ensure minimal usage. Worked great. From the LED on the connector I was able to confirm that it was plugged into the car's power supply via the OBD connector before connecting to an external power source and continued to work after the car battery was disconnected.
